Ariana Grande Smashes TikTok’s OTT Blusher Trend

Just when we thought we had fully recovered from the last Ariana Grande dramatic beauty look (read: 1970s curtain bangs in a down bouffant ‘do), she only went and dropped another gorgeous Instagram selfie. This time though, it’s not the hair that has us speechless (although, it is as sleek as ever), but the glam beat make-up look.
For the most recent product drop of Ari’s very own make-up brand, r.e.m. beauty, known as ‘chapter 3’, we were provided with plenteous IG selfies on both her and the company’s pages. However, one person worth following when it comes to BTS pics of the star is her make-up artist, Ash K Holm.
Holm has been the singer’s go-to celebrity MUA for as long as we can remember and was even the genius behind her quintessentially Ari soft and subtle bridal glam. However, the latest full-face is anything but subtle and even features a good ol’ TikTok make-up technique.

This never been done seen before snap from the chapter three shoot (you’re welcome) shows Ari to be ‘draped in blush’ – Holm’s words, not our – having taken the cheek colour all the way up to her temples for a more lifted look. Our hawk-eyed make-up fanatic-self suspects this is the eclipse cheek & lip stick in leading lady, £19.00.
If you cast your minds back to lockdown one, you may remember this very blush look going viral on TikTok. Back then, user Isaac Halvorsen (@isaachalvorsen7), explained the ways that this placement can change your entire face shape.
Plus, it’s not just Ari who is draped in blush for Kylie Jenner also shared an Instagram post using the very same technique and placement. Some may say this is a coincidence, but I say it’s fate…

Speaking of fate, we guess this is your cue to try out blusher draping yourself. Flushed to the Gods is the new summer 2022 look, apparently!
