Dame Dip Review 2022: One Glamour Writer Tests Dame’s New Clit & G-Spot Vibrator

Dame Products, the feminist sex toy brand behind classics such as the wearable couples toy Eva and the cute little finger vibe Fin, just came out with its latest release: a small but powerful clitoral and G-spot vibrator with an equally cute name, Dip.

Like the other sex toys in its lineup, the Dame Dip is simple in appearance. It comes in the brand’s signature purple and pale blue colors and has a minimal-looking shape. The device is small but not tiny, with a thin center with two ends that bulge out. The lower half acts as the handle (it’s also where you’ll find the turn-on button), while the top half features a gently tapered head that’s made for both clitoral stimulation and shallow insertion. Charging occurs via two little magnets at the base of the toy.

The one big, easy-to-press button turns the toy on and off and cycles through five surprisingly quiet vibration intensities—there are no complicated patterns or frills. The material is waterproof medical-grade silicone, which is safe to use anywhere as long as you avoid silicone lube. Oh, and the best part? The Dip is only $49, which makes it Dame’s second-cheapest toy, next to the tiny $30 bullet vibe, Zee.

Although the Dip looks simple, its versatile shape is great for sexual and sensual exploration. The tip at the end can be used to deliver strong, targeted vibrations to small areas on the clitoris, nipples, or wherever you like. The slender shape with differing widths also allows you to lay it against grooves in your body: The curved head can cup your breasts or cover your entire vulva.

As for me, I started off with the small tip right over my clitoris and the intensity on the third setting, then experimented with turning it around and lying the flat end against my clit, and then the semi-flat sides. I played around with rolling it from side to side, moving it in circles, and just holding it there—each producing its own delightful sensation.

Since I enjoy stimulation on my vulvar vestibule (the space between the inner labia), especially around my urethral and vaginal openings, I also tried laying the whole toy up and down the length of my vulva so that it stimulated all of those parts until I experienced my first body-shaking orgasm.

I wasn’t sure if I had the stamina to overcome the clitoral hypersensitivity I experience post-orgasm, but fortunately, despite the Dip’s small size, it can also be used for G-spot stimulation as well. So I decided to give my clit a break and use it internally for a bit.

Since the G-spot is only an inch or two inside the vagina, Dip’s five-inch length (with only about half that length insertable) did not disappoint. It felt great facing in both directions: with the point stroking my upper vaginal wall, and the flatter side as well. Not before long, I was squirting—and my clit had recovered enough for another round, at the highest speed this time.
