Hailey Bieber’s New Cherry Red Hair Is Perfect For Halloween

Hailey Bieber has made a head start on Halloween this year, debuting a bold and unexpected hair transformation on Instagram this weekend. While we’re usually shocked to see her hallmark ‘bronde’ colour shift more than a few levels, the model and Rhode skincare founder has sidelined her glossy brunette locks all together, favouring a shiny new ruby shade for this year’s spooky season.
Redhead Hailey? Not something we had on our 2022 Bingo cards, but we’re definitely not complaining.
The colour switch-up was accompanied by a party-ready mirrorball eye shimmer and a vinyl-shine cherry lip, topped off with Bieber’s own Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment, courtesy of celebrity make-up artist, Leah Darcy.

But, before we kiss our current natural hair tints goodbye and make a bee-line for the box dye, this unexpected hue isn’t something we expect Bieber to be sporting for long. If the extraterrestrial high-shine wasn’t enough to give this faux shade away, the reemergence of her signature cappuccino colour at the Academy Museum Gala later that evening has our suspicions confirmed: it’s a wig.

Hailey wasn’t alone in her premature Halloween beauty ventures. In a sneak preview for Kylie Cosmetics’ upcoming collaboration, we saw Kylie Jenner channel her inner Batman this week, showcasing a smokey dual-toned graphic eye look and statement plastic abs ahead of the campaign. A few days later, the friends took to TikTok to share a casual pizza trip, head-to-toe in Wicked-inspired green body paint. Is it just us or do they make green skin look good?
While Hailey hasn’t totally committed to her lustrous new red, she isn’t the only celeb who took a walk on the warmer side in 2022. Supermodel pals Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid both traded their au natural trademark tones in the name of copper earlier this year, while actress Sophie Turner returned to a fiery red back in Feb.
