A recent episode of The Kardashians saw Khloé Kardashian discussing her will with family members.
We know this might be an odd or sad thing to have to think about, but, if you were planning ahead for a time where you were unable to make decisions for yourself, what would crop up? Who would look after your pets, perhaps? Or which family members you would have a say in how you are treated? And it pays to be prepared, right? Because we never know what life has around the corner (for example, we couldn’t predict that there would be an internet livestream to see who would last the longest: a head of lettuce or Liz Truss), which is why we were pretty impressed when, in season two, episode five of Hulu’s The Kardashians, which aired Thursday, Koko, her sister Kylie Jenner, and her mother Kris Jenner spoke about their post-death wishes amid Kris’s hip-replacement surgery.
Though we’re all for discussing “taboo” topics, we weren’t quite expecting what was on Koko’s list of requests should she become incapacitated in some way. In a confessional, the mom-of-two said, “If I’m in a coma, I’m still getting my nails done once a week, and that’s in my will. ‘Cause people are gonna visit me.”
Riiight… listen, we’re not ones to judge, and we can’t possibly begin to think like a global megastar, but we can’t say we weren’t surprised to hear it.

Khloé has never been shy about her love of a good manicure. The Good American founder typically wears her nails extra long, and often uses Instagram stories to show her latest set to her fans. She even discussed them during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2021. She said that long nails don’t at all inhibit her ability to do basic tasks in her daily life, like opening bags of chips or changing her daughter’s nappy. Phew.
