How to Interact With Other Users on Backloggd

Backloggd allows you to log, rate, and review the games you play or have played. Acting as an online journal for your gaming habits, it’s basically Letterboxd but for gaming. You can track your gaming habits and also express yourself using the platform’s Lists feature.

You can also interact with other users on Backloggd. As well as being an online journal for gaming, it’s basically a type of social media. Interacting with others may not be your goal from the platform, but it’s likely to enhance the enjoyment you have on it.

How to Follow Other Users on Backloggd

Every now and again, you may come across a user whose reviews and lists you agree with or at least enjoy reading. In which case, following that user will make their content easier to find and show them some support.

Following a user on Backloggd is really simple and can be done in a few simple steps:

1. Go to Backloggd.com and ensure you are logged in.
2. Find a user either by searching for them and filtering by users, or by coming across their review and clicking on their username.
3. On their user profile, click Follow.

You should now have followed the specific user. There are no limits to the number of users you can follow and be followed by, so don’t feel restricted by this.

You can find your Followed and Following by hovering over your username and clicking Friends from the drop-down menu that appears. Cataloging apps are a better type of social media, but only if you use the social features that Backloggd and other cataloging apps have on offer.

When a user puts effort into writing a review, a like or a comment can go a long way in encouraging them to create more content. Similarly, if you enjoy someone else’s content on Backloggd then why not give it some support through a like or comment?

To like and comment on other users’ reviews on Backloggd, do this:

1. Go to Backloggd.com and ensure you’re logged in.
2. Click on a game you have been playing lately or are interested in reading about.
3. Next to a review you’re fond of, press the Comment icon.
4. You will now only see that review for the game, press the Like heart icon to give it a like.
5. If you want to comment, type in your message into the appropriate field and then click Comment.

You will now have left a like and comment on the user’s review. If you find that a lot of users’ reviews on Backloggd use words or terms that confuse you, you may want to brush up your knowledge on the most common gaming words, terms, and lingo you need to know.

To find a user’s different lists, you will need to be on their profile. Not every user creates lists, typically the most active users do, so you may have to look around for a bit before finding someone who creates lists on the platform.

1. Go to Backloggd.com and ensure you’re logged in.
2. Find a user’s profile and click on Lists.
3. You’ll be taken to their Lists page, showing all the lists they’ve created. Click on a list that you’re most interested in.
4. Click the Like heart icon to give it a like, or on the Comment icon to write a comment out.
5. When you’ve finished writing your comment on the user’s list, click Comment.

You should now have left a like and comment on the user’s list.
