Are “going-out tops” — that Y2K wardrobe staple for party hopping — back? Moda Operandi, the luxury fashion retailer, held a 2000s-themed night to celebrate its ready-to-party Club Moda collection on Nov. 17 at the Palace in TriBeCa. Sienna Miller, Ziwe, LaQuan Smith and Lauren Santo Domingo were among those who danced to a live performance of “Milkshake” by Kelis.
Also on Nov. 17, the Aperture Foundation held a party for “Revolution Is Love: A Year of Black Trans Liberation,” a photo book that documents queer activism within the Black Lives Matter movement. Plenty of looks were served.
‘Just making sure no piece of this look goes unnoticed.’ — Jessica Wang at the Moda Operandi party
‘I got the dress at an African shop in Los Angeles, which is no longer around, and it’s now one of my favorite pieces in my boutique collection.’ — B. Hawk Snipes at Aperture
‘This entire look is vintage thrifting and my hat is from Saga NYC. Working with what I have!’ — Cory Walker at the Aperture party
‘I’m not only celebrating the release of this historic book and huge milestone in my career; I’m celebrating myself and how far I’ve come.’ — Cindy Trinh at the Aperture party
The Most Dressed features great outfits from up, down and all around town.
